"Sap House" update

For those of you who have an interest, here are some new photos of the Sap House we are building in the hopes of going into maple syrup production in the near future. The next step is to get the windows and doors in, the vapor barrier on (called Tyvek or Typar in this part of the country), and begin the siding process. We are going to side with live edge boards that we mill ourselves and stain. This is a "pay as you go" process and takes longer, but we'll be mostly debt-free when the project is finished. The most expensive part of the project is buying the equipment and the saplines. As you can see, not all of the snow is gone yet!!

Since the snow has almost melted, I see that Dad is getting very busy with the sap house. It looks good. I hope there wont be too much snow next time we visit you all so I can see the sap house.
